Up first… Sadie will be joining Chinita and her band, Black Mona Lisa, for some rockin’ go-go action on Wednesday 30 January at Masquerade.

Next up, on Friday the 1st, Barbilicious and Dickie van Dyke will make an appearance during the Sex Workers’ Art Show After Party at Spring 4th. From 10 p.m to 6 a.m. Phobia is hosting a Burlesque themed night to remember The Official After Party of the Sex Workers’ Art Show! ONI will be the hostess and pro-bartenders will be in the bar to serve you your B.Y.O, (for over 21). DJ Aesthetic and DJ Ghost will be spinning and keeping the dance floor packed.

Then, on Friday the 8th, Chinita, Sadie Hawkins and Mysteria are dancing between bands at Lenny’s Bar.

But wait! There’s more! On the 23rd, there’s another Silver Scream Spook Show! This month, it’s Mad Love with Peter Lorre.

One of Atlanta’s most talented and beautiful performers has joined forces with Blast-Off Burlesque: Chinita! She made her debut with us last evening during Calu’s Peep Show at Smith’s Olde Bar, showcasing her awesome Spanish dancer/bullfighter act (with Dickie as the bull!). Chinita has been freelancing it recently, but you’ve probably seen her with the Dames - you’ll be seeing a lot more of her with Blast-Off!
And quite belatedly, we’d like to introduce Mysteria. This young lady is theatric, and ever so mysterious… you may have seen her monkey-girl bellydance, or her cyclops… she’s been working with us regularly in the SpookShow and has performed as part of the Blast-Off Burlesque ensemble since summer. If you’ve been wondering who that mysterious girl was, well, it’s Mysteria!
We’re so happy to have Chinita and Mysteria as part of our core group. We’d also like to take a moment to recognize some of our associates that you’ve not yet formally met, too - Li’l Red and Disastrid. Both of these beauties are core to our Spook Show performances - you’ve seen them both in our dances, and Disastrid has served as Headley’s nurse.
So… on to our upcoming shows:
Friday, January 25 - Sadie Hawkins and Mysteria will be performing two acts at Chattacon, held each year in Chattanooga’s famous Chattanooga Choo-Choo hotel.
Saturday, January 26 - Join Blast-Off Burlesque and the rest of the Silver Scream Spook Show gang at Atlanta’s historic Plaza theater for the classic, original King Kong!
